Meet Our Pro's: Tennis Instructors

Tammy Redondo Cabrera
60-Minute Private Lesson Rates: $65/One Lesson, $300/Five-Pack

I started playing tennis at an early age with my brothers and sisters. Top Junior in singles and doubles in Southern California. Won CIF doubles with sister, Shelly, to become the first siblings to win CIF. Received a full tennis scholarship to SDSU. Began teaching tennis in 1983. Number one woman’s doubles and mixed doubles player in the 80’s & 90’s. Voted USTA female pro of the year in 2004. USTA family of the year in 2007.

I credit Robert Lansdorop for teaching the fundamentals of tennis. He instilled a winning attitude that has helped me become the top player and teaching pro that I am today. I get the greatest feeling taking my students from beginners to competitive tennis players and further.

I’ve been teaching tennis for 15 years. I married into a big name tennis family “The Redondo Family” in the tennis world. I played in high school and in open tournaments. I also played league play while living in Hawaii in San Diego. I get great satisfaction when I see my students excel to their highest playing ability.

Frog’s Ocean Swim Group, led by our very own California State Beach Lifeguard puts you in the most knowledgeable and comfortable ocean swimming shape of your life. Our lifeguards provide insightful tips and training on the most efficient ways of entering and exiting the water, breathing, body surfing and pacing. This training could be used for tri-athletes, surfers, lifeguards, and any distance swimmer looking for something different than swimming laps in the pool all summer.
